This exciting new introductory course is designed for students who have a genuine interest in fitness. This course is aimed at those who wish to understand and learn about personal fitness and human anatomy.
Successful completion of this course will provide opportunities to pathways for a Career within the Health and Fitness sector. Those who are interested in the gym environment and enthusiastic about their fitness should apply.
Course aim:
Senior students to understand how to programme and plan their own fitness journey. You will also gain the skills to plan and design a circuit class and a weight training session.
What you will learn
Students will learn about planning a fitness programme designed for their individual needs, using the principles of fitness training.
Learners will investigate and participate in different types of fitness training, including the importance of warm ups, cool downs and effective personal preparation.

- Implement different apps
- Design challenges and programmes.
- Free weight Training.
- Circuit Training
Entry requirements
Students must have a strong interest in sport and be willing to participate in a variety of activities. Water confidence is essential.
Days Per Week Tuesdays and Thursdays - 1.30 pm to 4 pm
Career Opportunities
Students are encouraged to progress onto NC, HNC, HND courses prior to seeking employment in the sport or outdoor education industry.
