This course is only available to school students.  Please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement.

This gives you a taster of Mental Health and Criminology units, which can lead to higher-level courses in the care sector and eventually care work with focus on Mental Health; also, higher-level courses in Criminology or Humanities.

This course will assist you in developing transferable skills such as: employability, wellbeing and personal growth.

  • Influences on Mental Health and Wellbeing (Level 4)
  • Coping Strategies and Building Resilience
  • Criminology: Crime in the Community (level 5)

Entry requirements

You should be working toward National 5 English and have a genuine interest in Mental Health Care and/or Criminology. Looking at careers in Social Work, Mental Health Care and/or the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

Days Per Week Tuesdays and Thursdays - 1.30 pm to 4 pm
