Students Win Top Honours at Craftex 2025

06/06/2025

Glasgow Kelvin College students wowed the judges at this year’s Craftex exhibition, held at Glasgow’s Trades Hall from the 5th to the 7th of June.

Run by the Trades House of Glasgow, Craftex showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of students from colleges across the city. With over 50 categories, it features everything from fashion and jewellery to furniture, photography, baking, and more.

Evy Craig scooped the Deacon Convener’s Design Prize for her imaginative work in the Fashion – Upcycled Material (Non-Advanced) category, while Craig Watson was awarded the prestigious Glencairn Award for his outstanding entry in Fashion – Advanced.

Photography students also impressed the judges, with Nicola Cobain’s image The Dandelion winning the Non-Advanced Photography category, and Nath Kossak’s Apollo taking the top spot in the Advanced category.

All four awards are among the highest honours of the event. A huge well done to Evy, Craig, Nicola, Nath, and all our students who took part!
