The College’s 2nd year Joinery apprentices at Springburn campus had an informative and instructional visitor last week – Stephen Cameron from Milwaukee Tools.
The students, who are currently on block release, were introduced to the range of, literally, cutting edge and industry-standard power tools supplied by Milwaukee. Stephen was keen, with their Lecturer Derek Morrison, to take them through the use and applications of the wide variety of equipment available. He was happy to leave the tools with them for a short time so that they could familiarise themselves and evaluate them as part of their learning.
Not only is it great that our students are introduced to current and future industry equipment, but sessions like this strengthen our learning partnership with suppliers and encourage early adoption to the Milwaukee brand by tomorrow’s tradespeople and potential small business leaders.
Derek and the students were impressed by the performance of the tools and we hope that Milwaukee will be frequent visitors to the College in the future.
