Congratulations also go to our students, Fergus Robinson and Chloe Mushet, who have made it into the finals of the highly acclaimed SHABA awards. They will be competing for 'Best Apprentice Barber' against six other finalists within this category.
The SHABAs are Scotland's largest and most successful, industry endorsed awards, attracting hundreds of entries from salons and individuals across Scotland. As well as harnessing the support of industry-leading Icons, from Earl Douglas MBE to Trevor Sorbie MBE, they showcase creative talent from across the Hair & Beauty industry, rewarding those who excel in their field.
The recently established MADE Barbering Academy at Kelvin has also had success in reaching the finals for the Best Training School/Academy. We are thrilled to have been shortlisted within this category and look forward to the finals competing against seven other training establishments within the hair and beauty industry.
This is great recognition for the skills and talents of our amazing Barbering students as finalists are selected from a very competitive field of entrants from across Scotland. It is no less an accolade for the expertise of our amazing staff whose work is being recognised in the impressive shortlist for Best Training School.
The winners will be announced at the glittering and popular SHABAs Ceremony at the Glasgow Hilton in October 2023 - keeping everything crossed for a successful night!
