Acting and performance lie at the heart of the entertainment industry. This course is an introduction to acting and musical performance and can develop your creative skills to introduce you to the theatre and acting industry.
On this practical programme, you will train with expert teaching staff. They will guide you towards the techniques and skills you will need to help you develop into a fully rounded performer.
This NQ is an excellent option for candidates who want to progress onto the HND Acting & Performance or HND Musical Theatre qualifications here at Kelvin.

Entry requirements
Entry is by audition only.
You will be asked to demonstrate your acting or singing skills.
The audition process will enable the audition panel to assess your suitability for the course. Further details about the audition process are available once interviews/auditions are arranged.
Previous performance experience is preferred but not essential as applicants will be assessed at the audition workshop.

For this course, if English is not your first language
- you need to have SQA ESOL Higher (or equivalent, click here to see equivalent qualifications)
- If you do not have a formal ESOL qualification but your language skills meet this level, you should apply for your course and then contact our Admissions team to organise an internal language assessment here at the College.
