This SWAP Access to Humanities (Business) course is designed for adults who want to progress to university but don’t yet have the formal qualifications to apply. It provides a supportive, structured route back into education — helping you rebuild confidence, develop academic and analytical skills, and prepare for degree-level study with a focus on business, management, and social understanding.
You’ll engage with themes that connect people, communities, and organisations — exploring how human behaviour, communication, and economics influence the way business works.
As part of the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP), this course offers guaranteed progression routes to university for adults returning to education.

Assessment is continuous throughout the year, using essays, reports, class discussions, and presentations instead of final exams.
✅ No formal qualifications are required.
✅ You must have been out of full-time education for at least three years.
✅ You should have good communication skills, which may be assessed during the application process.

If shortlisted, you’ll complete a short written task and be invited for an informal on-campus discussion.
