This exciting new introductory course is designed for people who are interested in the world of Adventure, Games and Sport

This course will be facilitated at various locations such as Pinkston Watersports, Mugdock country park, Pollok Country Park as well as Springburn Campus. Students will be transported via minibus to the different locations. There will be a rotation of activities with some taking preference during colder or warmer weather.

Course aim:

Develop a range of movement and performance skills in Adventure, Games and Sport activities.

What you will learn

Course Objectives:

  • Playing and competing in sporting games
  • Learn to paddle in a variety of crafts safely and efficiently
  • Learn to coach various sports

Activities:

  • Canoeing
  • Orienteering
  • Basketball
  • Football
  • Badminton

Entry requirements

Students must have a strong interest in sport and be willing to participate in a variety of activities. Water confidence is essential.

Career Opportunities

Students are encouraged to progress onto NC, HNC, HND courses prior to seeking employment in the sport or outdoor education industry.
