Introduction

The course ensures you are up to date with the latest industry regulations on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and system.

BS 7671:2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations was issued on 2nd July 2018 and came into effect on 1st January 2019.

Amendment 2 of BS 7671:2018 went live in March 2022, with Amendment 1 phased out in September 2022. The current version has had a sizeable increase in pages from the original 18th Edition and is almost 2.5 times the size of the 16th Edition when it first went to print. Amendment 2 includes changes to the additional protection requirements for socket circuits, surge protection changes for installations and the inclusion of a new Part 8: Prosumers electrical installations.

The new model forms within BS 7671 are also covered to name some of the roughly 1000 changes that are now within this new Amendment.
