Glasgow Kelvin College Music Business lecturer Ken McCluskey is a professional musician with over forty years experience working in all aspects of the music business from songwriter/performer to producer, tour manager and record label owner.

Ken achieved great success topping the UK charts at No 1 as vocalist of The Bluebells with the song “Young at Heart” and toured the world before starting his own Label with his brother David to release music as The McCluskey Brothers. Due to the brothers work with the anti-apartheid movement they were invited to perform at George Square for Nelson Mandela as he was awarded the Freedom of the City of Glasgow award in 1993.

Ken has been the recipient of two Nordoff Robbins awards for song writing and performing and was honoured to receive two SQA awards for Innovation and good practice through his lecturing work with Music Business Management students working on the Electric Honey Records project at college which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2023.
